This Muscovy duck was captured in a crystal clear creek north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. “The Muscovy duck, or the Cairina Moschata Momelanotus, is the only domestic duck, which is not related to the mallard. This makes it a unique challenge for raising and breeding.
The domestic Muscovy is believed to be a cross between the South American Muscovy, the South American Comb Duck, and the White Winged Wood Duck. It's impossible to tell for sure without actual genetic testing. The Ugly Duck”
