The locals consider Balanaced Rock as on of the eighth wonder of the world. Located west of Buhl, Idaho it is balanced precariously under the looming dark skies of a summer storm. "The 40-ton, 48-foot-tall wind-carved rock, which is perched on a base only 3 feet by 17 inches, looks like if you leaned on it, it would fall over. But it has been balanced for thousands of years and, hopefully, will continue to do so for lots of years to come.
It’s a landmark that you’ve got to see to believe. It looks like an upside-down water drop perched on a rock base. It has to be on your Idaho bucket list."...Idaho Statesman.
